Personally I prefer a bit of hair on a guy, enough to have spikes ocassionally or just lay neat looking so I'd go with the short spiked hair

I think shaggy hair can look nice on some boys but it looks weird if it's really long.

Then I also think clean nicely cut hair looks really nice.
