this sounds weird but seriously jw- y do MOST gay guys act all girly- are only friends with girls, love cute little animals, always mess w/ their hair, like songs like '' sexy back'' and ''fergalicious'' and hav really high pitched annoying voices and always strike poses and say things like u go girlfriend!! i mean if ur GAY, and like GUYS, why hang w/ girls and act like a GIRL???

I have met many gay men, and some of them fit the stereotype, but some don't. If you met some of my friends, you would think they were straight because you are so sure you know what "gay" looks like. You don't.

Actually you can divide the gay community, the guy half anyway, into two basic groups - dominate(top or manly) and Submissive(girly or bottom). The side you listed above would be very deep in the submissive catagory - the "wife" out of the couple, not all submissives are like that - just take me for example I am a sub but don't act all girly - a normal gay guy. The other group on the other hand take charge and wear the "pants" in the relationship - they take charge and get the job done - these people act like regular men and are dominate to the submissives. I don't like girly gay guys if i wanted that I would date a girl. Hope this helps.

MOST is a crass overstatement. Perhaps MOST of the gay men in your social circle are effeminate, but that is your choice of friends. MOST gay men don't fit any particular stereotype or fit one (or more) different stereotypes.
SOME gay men are body-obsessed.

NO single gay man can fit all of the stereotypes about gay men, especially considering several of them are contradictory.
